A true R&B trendsetter from Richmond, Virginia, ARIAA began writing songs in her early teenage years, though music has always lived within her spirit. Born with a natural gift for singing, she was raised in a richly creative family of writers, poets, singers, musicians, performers, and actors.
Her mother, Shaun “Buttas” Nicole, is a respected name in the music industry, known for sharing management ties with R&B icon D’Angelo—an influence that helped shape ARIAA’s early understanding of artistry, professionalism, and legacy.
Among her greatest musical inspirations are Beyoncé and her mother, Shaun Nicole. ARIAA
honed her gift through numerous choirs spanning elementary school through college. Her first original written and recorded live performance earned her acceptance into the School of the Performing Arts in Henrico County.
Her creativity extends beyond singing into harp, clarinet, violin, piano, choreography, and dance. At Mary Baldwin University, she served as President of the Step and Dance Team, showcasing her versatility and commanding stage presence.
ARIAA entered her first professional studio session in 2015. By 2019, she fully committed to her journey as an independent artist, culminating in her EP Crown Me released in 2020, supported by three music videos and performances across multiple cities.
